The ICC released the latest Test rankings on Saturday. In the batting rankings, Indian team captain Virat Kohli (862 points) has moved up to fourth place. At the same time, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have gained one place each. Pujara is at sixth place with 760 points while Rahane has reached eighth position with 748 points. Explain that in the batting rankings, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is in the first place with 919 points. Australia and Steve Smith (891 points) and Marnus Labushane (878 points) are in second and third place respectively. England captain Joe Root is in fifth place with 823 points.
Meanwhile, England bowler James Anderson has moved up one place in bowling rankings. He is ranked sixth after beating Kagiso Rabada of South Africa with 807 points. At the same time, Rabada slipped one place to the seventh position with 777 points. In the bowlers’ rankings, Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins is in the first place with 908 points. In the bowlers’ top 10, only two bowlers R Ashwin (760) and Jasprit Bumrah (757) are ranked eighth and ninth respectively.
