The Government of India extended the ban on domestic and local commercial flights till 31 January in view of the new strain of Corona. This restriction will not apply to special flights and international air cargo operations. Earlier, India imposed a temporary ban on planes going to and from Britain due to the new Corona strain. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has given this information. It may be noted that the Ministry of Civil Aviation had last week banned the airlines between India and Britain from December 23 to 31.
Meanwhile, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to all the states and asked them to keep an eye on the events that spread corona in the midst of New Year celebrations. The Ministry of Health said that six people who came to India from Britain were found infected with the new strain of Corona. Corona has been reported in Holland, Denmark, Australia, Italy, Sweden and many other countries to be infected with this new British strain.
